Filming in Paris & Île-de-France

Paris is one of the most sought-after filming destinations in the world. From the iconic quays of the Seine to the zinc rooftops of the Marais, from Haussmannian boulevards to the gritty charm of the northern arrondissements — every neighbourhood offers a distinct visual identity.

As Paris-based fixers with over a decade of experience, we provide complete production support for international crews filming in the capital and the wider Île-de-France region. Whether you’re shooting a documentary, a TV segment, branded content, or a feature film, we handle everything on the ground so you can focus on your story.

What we handle in Paris:

We secure filming permits from the city of Paris (Mairie), the Prefecture de Police, and district-level authorities. We know which locations require weeks of lead time and which can be arranged in days. We scout locations across all 20 arrondissements and beyond — from private apartments and restaurant terraces to rooftops, parks, museums, and iconic landmarks. We source bilingual crew (camera operators, sound recordists, gaffers, PAs, drivers, fixers) who know the city’s rhythms, traffic patterns, and local customs. We manage all logistics: gear rental, transport, accommodation, catering, and on-set coordination.

Paris locations we work with regularly:

The Eiffel Tower and Trocadéro esplanade, the banks of the Seine and its bridges, Montmartre and Sacré-Cœur, the Marais and Place des Vosges, the Champs-Élysées and Arc de Triomphe, Le Louvre and the Tuileries, Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Belleville and Ménilmontant, the Canal Saint-Martin, La Défense business district, and the Palace of Versailles — just 30 minutes from central Paris.

Beyond Paris — Île-de-France:

The region surrounding Paris offers a wealth of production-friendly locations: the Château de Versailles and its gardens, the medieval town of Provins (UNESCO World Heritage), the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, Fontainebleau forest and its palace, the Stade de France in Saint-Denis, and numerous film studios including those at La Cité du Cinéma. Île-de-France also offers suburban and rural landscapes that can double for many other parts of France — often at a fraction of the permit cost.

Filming permits in Paris:

Filming on public land in Paris requires authorization from the city. Simple setups (small crew, lightweight equipment) can often be arranged within 5–10 working days. Larger productions involving road closures, night shoots, or access to protected monuments may require 3–4 weeks of lead time. Most public-space permits in Paris are free of charge, depending on the scale and nature of the production. We handle the entire administrative process on your behalf.
