Filming in Provence & the French Riviera

Provence and the Côte d’Azur are synonymous with light, colour, and Mediterranean beauty. From the lavender fields of the Luberon to the glamour of Cannes and Saint-Tropez, from the old port of Marseille to the hilltop villages of the Var — this region has served as backdrop for countless films, commercials, and fashion shoots.

We provide complete production support across the region: location scouting, permits, crew, gear, transport, and on-the-ground coordination.

Provence locations:

The lavender fields of Valensole and the Luberon (peak season: mid-June to mid-July), the ochre villages of Roussillon and Gordes, Aix-en-Provence and its Cézanne connections, the Pont du Gard (Roman aqueduct, UNESCO site), the Camargue wetlands with their wild horses and flamingos, the vineyards of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and the Verdon Gorge — Europe’s deepest canyon.

French Riviera locations:

Nice and the Promenade des Anglais, Cannes and La Croisette, Monaco (separate jurisdiction — we handle cross-border logistics), Saint-Tropez and Ramatuelle, Antibes and its old town, the Lérins Islands (off Cannes), Èze village perched above the sea, and Marseille — France’s second city, with its Calanques, Vieux-Port, and raw urban energy.

Production advantages:

The region offers exceptionally reliable weather (over 300 days of sunshine per year), reducing weather-related delays. The Nice Côte d’Azur airport is the third busiest in France, with direct flights from most European capitals. Marseille-Provence airport provides additional access. The TGV connects Paris to Marseille in 3 hours and Paris to Nice in 5h30.

Permits and regulations:

Filming in public spaces requires municipal permits — we handle applications for Nice, Marseille, Cannes, Aix-en-Provence, and all smaller towns. Access to protected natural sites (Calanques National Park, Camargue) requires additional authorization. Drone permits in this region require careful advance planning due to restricted airspace near airports and military zones.
