Who we work for

We are a production service company for international productions shooting in France, from bases in Paris and Cannes. That sentence rules some people in and some people out. This page says which, so nobody loses a morning.

01

The short version

One test
If your production is based outside France and you are coming to shoot here, we are for you. If you are a French company making a film for a French client, you want our sister company. If you are looking for work, read the FAQ at the bottom.
02

Who hires us

Seven profiles
01Foreign production companiesService production for commercials, formats and series: budget in euros, French crew contracts, permits, locations and the set. You keep creative control.Core
02Advertising agenciesAgency producers who need a French partner to bid, cast, clear and run the shoot, often on a client's tight timeline.Core
03Brands' in-house studiosBrand teams shooting without an agency in the middle. We act as your French production arm for the duration of the job.Core
04Broadcasters and streamersNetworks and platforms running formats, reality and docu-series in France: multi-unit, fast turns, discreet logistics.Core
05NewsroomsForeign correspondents and news desks. Breaking news crews within hours in Paris, within a day across France.Core
06Documentary producersAccess to institutions, communities and closed locations, plus editorial counsel on French subjects.Core
07CreatorsCreator teams who move fast and need French image law handled before the camera rolls.Core

Size is not the filter. We have run a single-interview radio piece and three months of daily Olympic coverage for NBC Universal. What matters is that a foreign production needs the French side handled by someone who knows it. If you are crossing regions, we cover all of metropolitan France, with our second base in Cannes for the French Riviera and Monaco.

03Domestic French productionsA French company making a film for a French client is not our job at FixersInParis. For a finished film made end to end in Paris, our sister company Prod is Prod handles executive production.Elsewhere

06Post-production onlyWe are a production service company. Finishing in Paris goes through Prod is Prod and trusted partners.Elsewhere

The difference between a fixer and what you probably need

Many first enquiries ask for "a fixer". Often what the production needs is a production service company: someone who carries the crew contracts and the permits under a French entity, not just someone who makes phone calls. French crew are hired on specific contracts with social charges on top of the day rate, and many permit desks prefer to deal with a French company. We do both jobs, so you do not have to work out which one you need before you call. More in fixer in France and line producer in France.

What to send us

Makes the first answer useful

A good brief takes five minutes and gets you a real answer within three hours instead of a list of questions:

  • Format: commercial, format, documentary, news, creator content.
  • Dates: even approximate. Lead times for permits run from days to months depending on the location; see shooting permits and locations.
  • Places: cities, types of location, anything iconic or private.
  • Crew size and what you are bringing: your director and DP, or a full French crew.
  • Budget range if you have one. We will tell you plainly what it buys in France, and what filming in France costs in general.

Send it here, by email to [email protected], or call +33 6 68 08 61 02.

Are you hiring?

No recruitment happens through this site. We hire crew per project from our own network. If you are a French crew member, you may send your credits by email to [email protected]; we keep them on file for future projects. We do not run internships.

Can FixersInParis produce our French company's film?

Not under FixersInParis, which serves foreign productions shooting in France. For a domestic film made end to end in Paris, our sister company Prod is Prod handles executive production from brief to master, post-production included.

Do you work in Belgium?

No. We no longer offer production services in Belgium. We work across metropolitan France and in Monaco.

Are you a talent or model agency?

No. We cast local talent when a production requires it, as we did for a Vice project for Evian, but we do not represent talent or models.

Is our project too small for you?

Probably not. We run single-day news shoots as well as multi-week commercials. Send the brief and we will say within three hours whether we are the right fit, and if not, who might be.

Tell us what you need to shoot.

Format, dates, locations, crew size. We come back within three hours with what is possible and what is not.
